A set of 'free&' sites I gathered together to support our &';dimensions' ICT curriculum. Hope you find this useful. These are sites the children can use for the key areas of learning.

I always give children this questionnaire to the children before doing their reports, is invaluable for personal comments having the sheet next to me whilst writing.

This Quiz is is a short general knowledge quiz written by 'Quizinators’ and completely free. I am an experienced Quiz writer and presenter that decided to spread my tried and tested winning formula to others. They are ideal, for a one off event or regular use. If you are presenting a quiz I understand how meticulously researched well phrased questions and answers can help the cause. Each quiz is structured to start easy and get progressively harder (a difficult skill to approximate, after all a question is easy when you know it!) This will give teams with more knowledge a greater challenge near the end. The picture round of this quiz includes a professionally formatted image of the £20 note where players are required to identify the person and then the 9 celebrities within the remainder of the £20 notes. Each quiz contains 30 questions of increasing difficulty and an additional tie-breaker, if required. Questions 1 - 10: Easier questions designed to give your teams some confidence and even raise some laughs. Questions 11 - 20: Medium difficulty questions, some of these may include a multiple choice element. Questions 21 - 25: Harder questions which teams will find much more challenging. Questions 26 - 30: ‘The Wipeout Round’ or ‘Double or Quits’. It is suggested that in this section, you inform teams that each question is worth 2 points, however if one question is answered incorrectly the team ‘wipes-out’ and scores no points for the round, questions can however be missed out with no penalty (just receiving no points for that particular question.) I have bullet pointed a few ideas I had to use iMovie in the classroom. Although these were written with a mac in use, many of the ideas could be used with iMovie on the iPad or a similar video editing program. Please leave a comment if you find this useful.

A document for parents and pupils to sign. Invaluable for E-Safety and security. Editable as I have included my word version of the document. Has gone down well with many schools. This is a snippet from the top of the document... Parents / Carers play a crucial role in ensuring that their children understand the need to use the internet / mobile devices in an appropriate way. Research shows that many parents and carers do not fully understand the issues and are less experienced in the use of ICT than their children. The school will therefore take every opportunity to help parents understand these issues through parents’ evenings, newsletters, letters, website / VLE and information about national / local e-safety campaigns / literature. The perfect start to a ‘Marvel’ themed quiz! There are 14 questions in total in this picture round: The first 4 questions require identification of the Marvel character from their sillouette The next 4 questions participants should name the Marvel actor . actress The final 6 questions are scenes from Marvel movies in which quizzers should identify the film the still is from (you may want to add a multiple choice element to this section of the round, these are included in the answers if you wish to share them with your quizzers.)

Selection of report writing statements

This is a professionally written ‘Big Fat Quiz of the Year’ pub style quiz. Covering events (with a UK slant) that have occured in 2021. Includes… Picture Round - Name the celebrity that has trended in the news during 2021. Blank answer sheet to write on (50 questions in total.) Professionally written questions and answers. (50 questions in total.) Music Round (7 edited tracks, name the TV show or artist / song from the 15 second clips.) This is formatted as a video file for ease. Report questions sheet for pupils I always give this before writing reports to every student, then keep it next to me whilst writing.

A set of differentiated worksheets I made where children have to add the two numbers below to get the final brick of the top of the pyramid. The harder worksheets require inverse operations. Fantastic for an activity relating to how additional and subtraction are linked, or reinforcing the concept.

A set of resources about Remembrance Day! This is primarily designed to be a huge amount of resources to ‘dip into’ during the day or week of this event. I have now also included a Literacy unit plan including a Remembrance Day segment suitable for years 3-6 based on comments and feedback recieved. Included in this resource pack… -A Powerpoint to introduce Remembrance day with included example poems to read to the children to help scaffold their own -Acrostic Poem Templates -Planning (please note this is under ‘Creating images weekly plan’) in the resources. NB: An EXCELLENT movie is 'The Piano' - this is absolutely perfect, emotional for the occasion and can be used in assemblies or the classroom to promote discussion.

A set of resources for children to decide whether they are for or against school uniform, I have included both viewpoints in separate documents and a document that discusses both sides of the argument as well as a few more resources to help. Hope this helps!

NB: This resource is now 1/4 of the price it originally started at and still has some outstanding unique content included. A very high quality resource. This is a 32 slide Powerpoint, including videos and high quality unique animations around the subject of Growth-Mindset designed for presentation to staff and parents alike. Many parts are also suitable for children themselves especially the videos. Uniquely designed and produced my myself and an extremely reputable colleague for use at inset in school, who has now gone on to advise in this area. As we designed this resource collaboratively I am lucky enough to be able to post these particular elements here. I have also included slide handouts and and a Mac / Keynote / iPad version of the resource, which also has embedded video files. This pack includes Movies Picture Round with 12 questions Questions 1-4: Name the actor pictured on the Hollywood walk of fame Questions 5-8: Name the film from the costume Questions 9-12: Name the film from the cryptic clue 33 carefully researched movie themed questions (including picture round it is a 45 question quiz.) Blank 45 question template to print out and write on (if required.) The questions selection is done for you, because each quiz starts easy and gets more difficult towards the end, pitched at the average quizzer, retaining an element of fun. A unique ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ based around ‘Bonfire Night’ in the UK. This can be adapted for ANY topic, includes visuals and sound effects from the programme. I used successfully in a whole class assembly, the staff loved it too! Suitable for Primary.
